Every year it is more or less the same. Perfect!
We start of with announcing the team names- mollusks of Iowa: the Wartybacks, the Fatmuckets, the Monkeyfaces and the Lilliputs to name a few. Then we announce the teams followed by the national anthem on Larry's trumpet, the singing of the Iowa state song with kazoo accompaniment and then the invocation. Next is the always exciting ceremonial first pitch delivered by Grandma Bub herself. She really brought the pepper this year, she knocked Rick right over with the pitch. Then the games begin, alas, winning was not in my future. Perhaps I need to bribe the commissioner.
