For the past 5 years or more we have been going up to Noblesville to find our tree. We go to the Stony Creek Farm to have Santa drive us out to the Christmas trees with his vintage tractor. This year was a special treat, there was snow! It was perfect and the tree is beautiful.

Perfect Coffee Break
Last Sunday the boys were all at Butler playing football and the door bell rang and it was Maria. She came to see if I wanted to go out for "the best Italian coffee in town", at least that is what the sign says. So we headed to Locally Grown Gardens a great farmers market type shop that also sells cheese, specialty salts, sodas and oils and if you need persimmon paste you will find it there. Per the sign, it was the best Italian coffee in town. It was a beautiful cool day and Maria and I had our coffee next to the small fire. It was perfect.

Gobble Gobble
As tradition has it our Thanksgiving followed a close script. Wednesday night we got to Columbus and were greeted with bowls of hot gumbo, thanks Kath. The cousins all slept in the basement and in the morning a crew went off the run the Flying Feather Four Miler. We followed the run with a session of ice skating with the extended family, then back home for turkey frying and drinks in the garage- just like the pilgrims, classy! It was a really fun day.
