George Rickey in Indy

The kinetic sculptor George Rickey's artwork is exhibited throughout Indianapolis this summer. Owen, George, Bop, Mam and I went on a tour to check them out. You can get a map downtown and lead yourself on the walking to to see them all for yourself. It was super cool.

Wiffleball and Baseball

The week before George went in to the hospital he made sure he got a bunch of wiffle and baseball in. Check out the action. I think he is out!

Stretch takes the mound.

Owen rocks the Metro's hat.

Is it Johnny Bench?

Catch up

The Internet connection here at Riley is better than at home, which means while George snoozes to the tunes of Wilco I can catch up on the blog. This was a few weeks ago when we went to Rock Creek.

For Mom

I love the artist and writer Maira Kalman so much. Her childrens books are incredibly silly, touching and sweet. She also writes grown-up books and pieces for the New York Times. Just recently my mother went on a trip with the "ladies" and they went to Monticello. Mom excitedly told me of the trip upon her return and I could tell she really thought it was something. So did Ms. Kalman:
